hi Ralph,

with regards to the STL meshing in FEMAP....basically FEMAP tries to form
solid elements like orthogonals, cubes based on the traigular facets of the
STL entities.

remeshing is definitely required for ver coarse stl objects.

i am trying to solve a very complex stl entity...i will let you know when i
had completed.
