hi Dr Ian,

although i know you are talking about the SLA ..... you can request from
Stratasys on some info on using the ABS models for investment casting. in
fact, from the papers, we know that ABS after has been coated by the
ceramics....burns off as a gas/vaporise leaving very little ash content in
the ceramic shell.

and ABS models are very easy to smooth and finish...with the latest
T10(0.010") tip you can find that the models are having better surface
qualities than before.

wait till you get your FDM and see for yourself.

by the way, i have not heard of any RP association in Singapre yet....will
let you know first-hand if there is one.
