Investment casting 5083 alloy?

Hi all,

The subject says it all -- can I?

We are making motorcycle chassis components. The rest of the chassis is
made from this material in an "o" condition, it weld nicely and is not
heat treatable. The part to be cast is welded into the chassis assembly
and would have to be in the same (5083) or a very similar material which
has good welding characteristics and does not work harden.
