Hello,
I am after some information on the modelling platforms used in rapid
prototyping, and whether there is a standard mechanism used by all
systems.
Eg,
are they based on ball screw / hydrualic systems?
is there a standard system available?
which companies manufacture these systems? (if any)

The most imortant question is how these systems actually work.
