Call for Papers

7th European Conference on Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing

Aachen, Germany

7th - 9th July 1998

This is the main European conference on this subject concentrating
on research and industrial applications. It attracts both academic
and industrial delegates from Europe, USA, Australia, Asia and the
Middle Eastern countries. The event is being organised by the
University of Nottingham's Innovative Manufacturing Centre in
conjunction with the Fraunhofer IPT.

Papers may be submitted on the various aspects of Rapid Prototyping
& Manufacturing such as: CAD Modelling, data transfer, Rapid
Prototyping processes, materials for Rapid Prototyping, accuracy
issues, management and quality issues, applications (such as vacuum
casting, spray metal tooling, casting etc.), Rapid Tooling and
applications in different industries (such as automotive, aerospace,
plastic moulding, medical etc.). Papers will be considered from both
a research and an industrial user bias.

Authors wishing to submit a paper should send an abstract of no more
than 100 words, written in English, to reach us by 1st December
1997. Abstracts should be sent to:

Papers must conform to the 1998 guide for authors which is available
on request. All papers will be assessed by at least two reviewers
and notification of acceptance or rejection will be given by 20th
April 1998.

Papers will be accepted from Universities, research establishments
and industrial users. Papers from companies selling machines,
materials or software will only be accepted if written jointly and
presented by a University, research establishment or an industrial
user. Promotional papers or presentations will not be permitted.

16th March 1998 Notification of referees recommendations
30th March 1998 Deadline for modified papers
20th April 1998 Notification of acceptance of papers
