Conference Announcement

If you've never visited Cairns, Australia, now is a very good time to
consider it. Cairns sits at the threshold of the world's largest living
organic structure: The Great Barrier Reef. On September 15-17, the
Queensland Manufacturing Institute (QMI), along with James Cook University,
will host the World Congress on Manufacturing Engineering and Rapid Product
Development at the Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns. Conference topics include
RP, engineering technologies, product development, concurrent engineering,
and many other advanced design and manufacturing methods and strategies.

If you dive, snorkel, sail, or just like to hang out on the beach, the
Cairns area is the place to be in September. I understand that the
beaches, water, reefs, and rain forests are some of the most spectacular in
the world. I can't imagine a better place to relax, explore, and learn.

For program and registration details, contact Maria Richmond at
mlr@qmi.asn.au, or Gerard Ryan at g.ryan@mailbox.uq.oz.au. Both are with
QMI.

See you in Cairns!
