Rosemary . . .

To determine scan velocity (in./sec.) on an SLS Sinterstation 2000, you can use the following formula:

scan velocity = SS / (5461.25 x 270 x 10-6) = SS x .678

where:

SS = scan size (your GUI setting)
5461.25 = resolution (scanner units per inch)
                270 x 10-6 = Step Period (fixed at 270 (s)

Hope this helps.

Subject: sls scan speed

Hi all

Does anyone know how I can find the scan speed for the laser
in the sls machine? Is it material dependent? Is this value
specified in the software, or must I stand by the machine and measure
it?

Thanks
