Plant Tour
On Friday, June 20th, the bus departs for a plant tour of
BarronCast Inc., Oxford, Michigan
During this tour, you will see how rapid prototyping patterns are used
to produce foundry tooling. See how rapid prototyping methods are used
to produce both metal castings and cast to size tooling for mold and die
cavities, core boxes, trim dies, gages and fixtures. Observe metal
castings produced for prototyping utilizing several rapid prototyping
processes such as, SLA QuickCast, LOM, SLS, FDM, and CNC cut foam.
