RAINDROP GEOMAGIC, INC. RELEASES WRAP™ 1.0
Champaign, IL (USA). Raindrop Geomagic, Inc. announces the release of
geomagic Wrap™ 1.0 for automatic surface reconstruction and grid generation
from arbitrary point cloud data.
A free on-line Win95/NT and SGI evaluation copy can be downloaded from the
company's web site (www.geomagic.com). The software is distributed directly
by the Company and is priced under $5000 per single user license.
This innovative modeling program can automatically "wrap" a surface around
an arbitrary point cloud and concurrently construct surface and volume
meshes. These surfaces can be edited and outputted to various data formats.
The surfaces display extraordinary accuracy being based on exact
computation and unambiguous rules formulated in geometric and topological
terms.
