Heart Biomodels

Funny someone should mention something as unusual as a heart biomodel, when
we saw one last week at the San Francisco conference, during the Medical
Workshop on Thursday. Prof. D. Neckers from the Center for Photochemical
Sciences in Ohio showed a heart biomodel they made from MRI data years ago.
It would have been more of a challenge then, mainly due to the gating
required for heart motion. Biomodels of this kind can be made from current
heart-gated MRI systems, or from next generation electron beam CT scanners
(when they become available!)

Robert Thompson
