Al,
Imageware's RPM will reduce the polygon count on an stl file. We use
this periodically when we receive files that are more refined than
necessary. It helps the slice time and support building time with these
larger files. The inputs in RPM are a "surface" deviation parameter and
an angle deviation parameter. You can play with these to get the size
file you need. It works pretty much as advertised.
