Manufacture

Re: Sculptor Michael Rees will exhibit 6 sculptures produced by two different
rapid prototyping technologies and 6 rendered photographs in "Dead Fit
Beauty". "Dead Fit Beauty" is an exhibition of 6 artists working with some
aspect of science and art. The opening reception is Tuesday, February 4,
1997 from 5:30p-7:30p at the Bertha and Karl Leubsdorf Art Gallery, Hunter
College of the City University of New York, West building, 68th Street and
Lexington Avenue, New York, New York. The exhibition will continue for 6
weeks and is open Monday-Saturday from 1:00p-6:00p. Phone number is 212 772
4991. Rees will attend the opening and looks forward to seeing other RP'ers
there.

6 of the sculptures were made with a SLA 500 by Kelly Hand of Satelite
Models, Mountain View California. The other sculpture was made with Kira's
lamination technology. One of the sculptures on exhibition is an edition of 8
which was made in collaboration with the Art Foundry of Sante Fe New Mexico.
This edition was announced this summer on the rapid prototyping mailing list.
