Ron,

Don't let this new version fool you. There are still problems with PTC's stl file generation. The new version has cleaned up the process a bit but I am still having several problems with the software. At best I have had to write the file 2 to 3 times before I get a clean stl file.

First and foremost, update Pro-E Release 17 to the very latest patches.
These should have been received by your system administrators within the
last couple of weeks. If not, then call PTC. The initial release of 17 was
very poor with STL files and could easily cost you in part quality and
accuracy.

If you have the latest then make sure that the chord height is set to the
minimum value in the range of acceptable values. This can be determined
by entering a "0" value for chord height and the range will be displayed.
