especially new or new to you technology, there is a learning curve. Email
apps, fortunately, are not exceptionally complicated. Spend a few minutes to
make your life easier. Most apps can be figured out through exploration and
don't be afraid to ask someone else a question. A few well placed questions
and you might stop thinking about throwing your monitor through the window.

For those of you with news server access, don't forget about the 20,000
newsgroups there that can provide an information forum for anything,
including email, not to mention sending an email to the tech support
department at your s/w publisher. Search the net through someone's browser
or look at your manuals and packaging, there is most certainly some
electronic contact info to be found.

Consider creating a new email address specifically for rp-ml or whatever
other groups you would like to organize better, and re-subscribe.

Finally, for everyone NOT sitting behind a firewall, consider those that are.
If you expect a response or further discussion on your topic, it is a simple
and courteous thing to include your return address in the closing of your
email or consider using a "signature" file - you know those sometimes crazy
little graphics and quotes at the end of some emails?

Anyway, how does that old phrase go? You can't please all the people all the
time?

Why?

#1
Juergen's suggestion 1. is inline with the above, and is a good one and I
feel it is the best. While the others have their merit there are things that
I consider to be negative.

#2.
Migrating to a newsgroup forum offers potential but as someone has already
stated, some may not have acceess to such a group and although there are a
multitude of people with access to internet email, there are not so many that
also have newsgroup access. I will say that I would not look forward to being
inundated with spam from phone sex ads and get rich quick schemes.

#3
A daily digest may be of interest, but this eliminates the immediate response
feature of email. Also, what time of whose day? Ilsang Yoo? Ulli? Me? I
think one of the best things about the exploder, is being able to get a
response right away, not tomorrow or the next day, after waiting for others
to get it, digest it and respond to it and receive the response.

#4
Should such a solution exist this could be handy, but wouldn't this still be
a problem for those without newsgroup access?

Good luck to everyone! FYI, If you need help drop me a line and I will try
to help as long there are TOO many inquiries.

Look, maybe it's easier for some of us than others, but it isn't any more
difficult for anybody than getting Eudora and using it.

And, there are probably other solutions that I personally am not familiar
with.

Rather than have a holy war about how rp-ml _outht_ to do this, figure out
how _you_ can make it work the way it is being done.

Alternatively, someone else could voluntarily publish a digest or whatever,
 and we'll all subscribe.

For me, having the mail come in directly is quite convenient, at least at
 this stage.
