Hello Jeslyn,

At the 1996 SLA user group conference, Jim Sieger of Ford displayed some tensile bars, built in 3 different orientations, to show that build orientation has no effect on the mechanical properties. This also was the winner of the Excellence Award at the conference! Jim can be reached at (313)845-4109.

I hope this helps.

Good luck

Subject: Part orientation

To all the RP members,

Could anyone tell me is there any different in terms of
mechanical strength of SL parts if they are build in a different
orientations. For example when the tensile bar was horizontally,
vertically, and laterally built.
I'm looking forward receiving the reply.

Cheers!

Regards,
Jeslyn
