The Sanders Model Maker can use the SLC format as input to its prototype
machine.
 We have been working with Alias and Multax to create good SLC slices instead
of STL
data. SLC data will create a far smoother part.

No. It is the 3D Systems' public contour file format. It can be used
instead of the STL file format to transfer data to a machine of theirs.

Alias has implemeted, perhaps, such an interface in their CAD system.
