We installed out sla-500 in february of 95. By about the beginning of April our
resin viscosity had increased to 1200 cps. (3D Systems tested our resin for us). It was
about this time that 3D notified us that they were working on a resin viscosity stabilizer.
We were getting very, very tacky parts out of the 500, almost uncleanable. 3D came
out, swapped out our resin and installed the stabilizer unit onto the bottom of the elevater.
We have had no problems since then. I don't know for sure if this was all caused by the
humidty, we were always below 50%, or if it was a resin problem. My personal feeling is
that it was a resin problem. I know a lot of people had to have there resin swapped out
as well.
