My IGtoSTL product can work with AME models as follows:
Explode the AME model until everything is 3dfaces. Make sure your entire
model is present...  Output the IGES file.
The iges file will contain a 5pt copious data entity for each 3d face.
IGtoSTL will treat these as surfaces (up 130000).

Also, many customers use IGtoSTL to re-process Autocad's so-called stl files
to produce a real, valid stl file.

I do not recommend using AME on parts with any curved surfaces.  AME
will create the facets, and they will usually be too coarse for good RP.
Use Autodesk Designer or Autosurf, which produce real surfaces which work
fine with IGtoSTL.
