Publishing Brock's style of article in science magazines would be fine, but I'm
not sure that's what he had in mind. (Was it Brock?) Typically, a magazine
editor will initiate an article and then go after industry experts for
information. Rarely do they accept and publish unsoliciated articles, at least
not those technical journals that I've been affiliated with. Brock's idea
could be a simple matter of developing a "press release" style story and then
broadcasting it. This, along with regular air mail, could be a way to do it.
Many newspapers may not pick it up (they're bombarded with news releases
daily), but some will. It's definitely a shotgun approach, but it can work if
it's well written, offers something interesting for the everyday individual,
and a good b/w photo is with it.
The LA Time just finished a story on RP which has gone (or will go) to press
very soon. Has anyone seen it?
Terry

P.S. Yakov - You certainly inspired some discussion on the mail list. Good
work! Even got me to punch out a few words.
