The 6th International Conference on Manufacturing Engineering (ICME-95), sponsored by the Institution of Engineers Australia, will address the universally recognised need to achieve excellence in manufacturing.
You are invited to participate in what promises to be a most enlightening and enjoyable conference in Australia. The exchange of development outcomes and experiences will bring together experts in several areas of manufacturing. The conference program will include attractive social program and workshops, exhibition and industrial visits are being considered. Conference Proceedings will be available at the conference.
Proposals for conducting workshops are welcome.
THEME: Manufacturing: A Global Perspective
You are invited to submit an abstract of 200-250 words outlining the
aims, content and conclusions of your paper. The abstract should be
clearly typed on one page with authors' names, affiliation, complete
mailing address, telephone, fax and e-mail.
Papers concerning any major areas of manufacturing are well come.
Papers are especially sought but not limited to the following areas:
. Manufacturing Technology: Advanced technology/process, flexible
manufacturing systems, Vision systems, materials technology, impact
on SME's, diffusion of technology, rapid product development,
CAD/CAM/CIM, measurement, robotics, design (product systems), trends
and directions.
. Manufacturing Systems/Management: Concurrent engineering, safety
issues, materials handling, productivity issues, environmental
issues, team based management, modelling of manufacturing systems,
other human aspects, decision support systems, operations management
(MRPII, JIT, OPT, holonic manufacturing), reliability and maintenace
engineering/management, other management issues, strategic planning.
. Information Technology in Manufacturing: Systems integration,
intelligent manufacturing systems, artificial intelligence, expert
systems, information systems, database management, multimedia, EDI,
information technology for small manufacture.
. Manufacturing Education & Training
. Cooperative Research & Development
. Government Policies, Strategies & Programs
