I build parts with slice thicknesses that would make 3D cringe.  I have
been using our software for almost a year and even on the SLA, adaptive
slicing works!! and works well!!   There are few RP machines on the market
that are restricted set to a fixed number of slice thicknesses and adaptive
slicing can be used on most of them.  The adative slicing of solids for
milling applications produce very fine details and produces exceptional
models.   One thing I learned early on about SLA operators...... They do
and tell not....

Yes there is a limit on the SLA layer thickness due both to machine and
material.  But why settle for that?
