For many configurations, the best way to rapidly prototype die-cast parts is
by using RP patterns in conjunction with the Rubber/Plaster Mold (RPM) process.

Using this process, cast parts in aluminum, magnesium or zinc can be
produced about 1 to 1.5 weeks after completion of the master. RP masters
must be finished out very carefully to ensure that no undercuts exist.

As a service bureau, we have used this process on well over 100 geometries
with a company called Metalcast Engineering, who we think is the best in the
industry. Randy Erickson is the contact at Metalcast. He can be reached at
"erickson@metalcast.com" or by phone at 510-534-2320.

Good Luck
